electric vans on trial with Kier Group

Kier is using electric vans on highways maintenance sites

The London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) has supplied prototypes of its new VN5 electric vans to Kier Group.

Kier Group will trial the vans, which have a design based on a black taxi, on its highways maintenance sites.

VN5 vans have a range of 61 miles using electric power, and a total range of more than 300 miles.

Phil Gale, Kier Group’s Head of Highways Fleet and Plant said:​ “Kier Group is looking to decarbonise its vehicle fleet by 2030 and move towards greener transport solutions; LEVC will play a key role in kick-starting this strategy”.
