The government has updated its guidance on driving in a clean air zone.
In a bid to combat increasing problems from vehicle emissions in the UK, a number of cities have introduced Low Emission Zones (LEZ) for buses.
However, only London has a Low Emission Zone for buses and all commercial vehicles.
London has also gone a step further in its clean air targets. The capital has introduced controls on the use of non-road mobile machinery on construction projects.
Below, you’ll find a link to give businesses information on where to find clean air zones. It also details how to check if there is a need to pay a charge, and what support or exemptions are available.
Updated guidance on driving in a clean air zone includes added links to Bath, Birmingham and Leeds city council websites. These provide more information about local exemptions, support to upgrade or replace vehicles and alternatives to driving.
