Boris Johnson: ‘Climate action cannot be another victim of coronavirus’

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has urged UN countries to stayed focused on climate action during the pandemic.

On Thursday 24 September, the Prime Minister addressed a UN Climate Action Roundtable.

The virtual event was hosted by the UN Secretary-General.

During the event, Johnson called on nations to make strong commitments to secure the planet for the next generation today.

Boris Johnson attended the roundtable to push for action on climate change. As a result, he spoke of his plans to chart a path to a green and sustainable recovery from the pandemic.

The summit was a chance for world leaders to detail new and enhanced Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and net-zero targets.
