Skanska is set to use sustainable site hoardings after signing a deal with specialist supplier Panthera Group to provide the hoardings on its jobs.
Using EnviroHoard, which is manufactured from post-production uPVC, the panels can be used multiple times on different projects and under full recycling at the end of their life.
Skanska was keen to move away from plywood hoarding to a more sustainable solution.
Neal James, Panthera Group MD, said: “There is no doubt that timber has its place in construction, but we just don’t believe that cutting down 30 – 60-year-old trees for temporary short-term hoarding is right, particularly now we have an alternative.”
