Net zero emissions continue to be a priority. As such, the government has appointed Andrew Griffith MP as the UK’s Net Zero Business Champion.
The new role will see Mr Griffith MP support the country’s businesses to make tangible plans to reach net-zero status by 2050, or earlier.
The UK government has pledged to “build back greener” following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Therefore, with the COP26 summit in Glasgow just a year away, the role of the Net Zero Business Champion is more crucial than ever.
As Net Zero Business Champion, Mr Griffith will work closely with Alok Sharma, the Business Secretary and COP26 President, to support UK companies to commit to net zero emissions targets.
