In early December 2022, business leaders attended the first annual progress review of the Construction Leadership Council’s (CLC) CO2nstruct Zero Performance Dashboard.
The CO2nstruct Zero review set out the evidence of how UK construction is playing a leading role in cutting carbon.
At the event, the CO2nstruct Zero programme celebrated the work of its 200+ supporting Business Champions and Partners through the giving out of four awards.
Presenting the awards, CLC co-chair Richard Robinson – CEO of Atkins UK and Europe, said:
“Achieving Net Zero is a huge challenge, but our 2022 Construct Zero Award winners remind us that we all have a role to play if we’re going to be successful. It was very encouraging to see such a calibre of award submissions and clear progress being made across all parts of our sector. Well done to all those who took part”
The CLC launched its CO2nstruct Zero programme at COP26 last year.
Its associated measures track carbon reduction activities and challenge the industry to improve in nine key areas covering transport, buildings and construction activity.
