A new resource hub has been launched to raise awareness of the dangers of respirable crystalline silica (RCS) dust.
The Health in Construction Leadership Group (HCLG) has developed the hub to support the construction industry in managing associated health risks.
Exposure can cause lung cancer and other serious respiratory diseases such as silicosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
The Hub brings together guidance and practical resources allowing users to engage with tailored content based on seniority and job role.
The resources are organised across 4 categories: risk assessment, awareness, control and evaluation.
