The Considerate Constructors Scheme has launched a new carbon reduction e-learning course to raise awareness of the importance of reducing carbon emissions across site teams and the benefits to employers, individuals, and the wider world.
Climate change has become a serious threat to the environment, and the construction industry has a significant impact to our carbon footprint.
The course aims to raise awareness and increase knowledge on carbon reduction and what net zero means for the industry among workers in the construction sector.
It will help construction companies prepare for monitor visits, as well as meeting the Code of Considerate Practice expectations.
The course has six lessons and a short quiz at the end – the pass rate is 70%. Plus, you can retake the quiz if you’re not successful in passing the first time.
The six lessons in the carbon reduction e-learning course are:
- Introduction
- How is the industry tackling the problem?
- Law, legislation and initiatives
- What can you do?
- Practical examples
- Summary
The course creators recommend participants read over a information-packed website page – Spotlight on… carbon reduction ahead of taking the course.
If you pass, you receive a certificate.
